Welcome to Offwidth

In Climbing 179, Craig Luebben (1960-2009) described offwidths: “Wider than your fist yet too small to accommodate your body, an offwidth requires more effort per inch of stone than perhaps any other type of climbing. Hence, offwidthing is the most despised, feared, avoided, and dissed genre of rock climbing.”

Craig Leubben on Thai Boxing 5.12b in Chamonix, France
